WHY I SUPPORT DONALD TRUMP

Trump in August 2015 (from here)
Trump in August 2015 (from here)

Why am I going to vote for Donald Trump? If you check earlier posts on my blog you will find I once supported Senator Ted Cruz. Since Trump and Cruz parted with bad feelings, I am not happy with Trump. I think Trump has a problem with keeping his ego in check, and he gets very nasty when he doesn’t.  That said, Trump’s problems ego problems look to be of the ordinary variety. He is not a political pro, and the stresses of running a political campaign are extraordinary. So there is not much reason to expect him to handle those stresses like a pro. Hopefully, he is learning. After you needlessly insult someone, it can be difficult to patch things up.

Still, I have a problem. Like every other voter I have to figure out who to vote for.  The two candidate with a serious possibility of winning are either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, and I vastly prefer what Donald Trump has promised to do.

Here are my key issues (See Trump’s Positions Page).

HealthCare Reform

Trump will fight for the repeal of Obamacare.

But none of these positive reforms can be accomplished without Obamacare repeal. On day one of the Trump Administration, we will ask Congress to immediately deliver a full repeal of Obamacare. (from here)

Trump has also promised to work to replace Obamacare.  I am not sure I will like what he and Congress cook up. Nonetheless, he promises to work for a system that uses free market principles.

Tax Reform

Trump will fight for a simpler tax system and to eliminate the death tax.

When the income tax was first introduced, just one percent of Americans had to pay it. It was never intended as a tax most Americans would pay. The Trump plan eliminates the income tax for over 73 million households. 42 million households that currently file complex forms to determine they don’t owe any income taxes will now file a one page form saving them time, stress, uncertainty and an average of $110 in preparation costs. Over 31 million households get the same simplification and keep on average nearly $1,000 of their hard-earned money. (from here)

We should get rid of the income tax. As the paragraph above indicates, the people who advocated the 16th Amendment to our Constitution, created a monster that has funded the excessive growth of our government. Note that Trump’s tax reform does not address Social Security or Medicare, a major part of that 16th Amendment monster.

Trump’s plan includes tax relief for corporations and small business. That would help keep businesses from fleeing our country. Trump would also eliminate the Death Tax. That would also be a boon for small business and increase competition.

Therefore, what Trump proposes is progress. How do we get rid of the 16th Amendment. I expect that would take a Convention of the States.

Immigration Reform

This issue is the one that kicked off Trump’s campaign. I am not a big fan of the wall or Mexico paying for it. I just want to vet immigrants BEFORE they come into our country.

  • So we know each people coming into the United States is not a security threat.
  • Can speak English fluently.
  • Has a job or some means of support.

Currently, our welfare system is a draw to both legal and illegal immigrants. That’s stupid. We don’t need a welfare system so the Democratic Party can import voters.

In addition, we are allowing terrorists into the country. Instead of trying to help refugees as close to their homeland as possible, we are bringing them here, and we are not separating out the terrorists. There is no good excuse for that.

Trump is running on securing the border and securing our country again. I am happy with that.

School Choice

School Choice is my main issue. Unless we put education back under parental control, civil servants posing as teachers will continue to indoctrinate children. Am I trying to say I hate teachers? No. Of course not.

When government runs the schools, teachers are civil servants. That is a literal fact. As civil servants, teachers must teach what politicians who pay their salaries want them to teach. What politicians want children to learn very often not good for children. Politicians don’t necessarily love our children, but all them are tempted by power and prestige.

So I am disappointed Trump does not mention school choice prominently on his website, but he did say he favors school choice in his book (see my post, CAN DONALD TRUMP DELIVER ON HIS PROMISES?), Crippled America: How To Make America Great Again. In addition, Gov. Mike Pence, his running mate, apparently has an interest in the subject (see Ryan Applauds Governor Pence As Vice Presidential Choice) and Trump is on the record as being against Common Core (see DONALD J TRUMP PRESIDENTIAL ANNOUNCEMENT).

Conclusion

On the issues that matter most to me, Trump is the best choice.

AN INVITATION TO HATE: HILLARY CLINTON’S WEB SITE

In my last post on H. Clinton, HOW DO WE KNOW IF SHE IS GUILTY? => TARGET HILLARY CLINTON, we considered the foulness of Hillary Clinton‘s public record. Here we will consider her web site.

H. Clinton’s Web Site: Do Her Own Words Give Us Any Reason To Vote For Her?

What is the latest first thing we see on H. Clinton’s web site (see here for the last example)? That is the video below.

This election is a sad one. When we consider the candidates, lots of us just want to cry. What is America coming to? Donald Trump has as foul mouth, and Hillary Clinton has many foul deeds. These two are the best we could do? These two are the best our two major political parties had to offer? Yes. Unfortunately, these are the best we deserve.

So what is Trump doing? Well, he never did use that much foul language; that video exaggerates his vanity, but he is, of course, vain. Both Trump and Clinton are vain. Both think we should elect them to the presidency.

Anyway, Trump is making reasonably decent policy speeches. Don’t think so? Have you ignored the news media and tried listening to one?

So what is Clinton doing? What’s next on her web site? It is an old trick, lying with numbers => How many jobs could your state gain (or lose) under each presidential candidate? Supposedly, if we elect Clinton, with all her promises to tax and spend she will magically create 10 million jobs. On the other hand, Trump’s policies with destroy 3.5 million.

At least Clinton’s promise is modest. U.S. population growth slows to just 0.71% (usatoday.com). That’s 2.3 million per year. Whoopee! Therefore, Clinton has promised about as many jobs as necessary to keep up with population growth.

10 million / 4 years = 2.5 million/year

Effectively, Clinton has promised a stagnant economy. In a stagnant economy, we should not expect Clinton’s jobs to be good jobs.

Next on Clinton’s web site is 4 things you need to know about Donald Trump’s “new” economic plan. Here we link to a web page devoted to class envy. It is kind of funny, really. A lady who has made tens of millions in “public service” wants us to hate a real estate tycoon who builds buildings that people want to buy. How evil that profit-making tycoon must be!

Are you a Democrat? Don’t worry! Before we have to read something boring about H. Clinton we still have another hate Donald Trump link: Made in America: A buyer’s guide for Donald Trump. Supposedly, Trump is a hypocrite because he doesn’t have his ties, suits, shirts, furniture, frames, and barware made in America. Supposedly, America still manufactures all those things. Do we do it in large quantities? With respect to furniture, maybe, but only a Democrat who never bothers to consider where the stuff he buys is made would think that America still manufactures large quantities of clothing.

Because my stomach can’t stand it, we will skip Clinton’s first podcast. “Hi, Hillary” is apparently designed to humanize the lady. She is 70 years old, and she has been prominently in the public eye for nearly three decades. We still don’t know she is human?

8 things you need to know about Tim Kaine, your next vice president is designed to appeal to the Democrats’ party base. It starts off well enough.

  1. Kaine was a missionary.
  2. He then started making money suing people.
  3. Somehow he got elected Governor of Virginia and tried to get more money for the teacher’s unions.
  4. As governor, he tried to take our guns away from us. Thanks to Virginia’s General Assembly, he just succeeded in keeping guns away from the mentally ill and drunks.
  5. In spite of Kaine, Virginia still maintained its reputation as a good place for kids and business.
  6. Kaine next got elected Senator, and he voted for Obamacare and for forcing everyone to pay for abortions
  7. As Senator, he supported same-sex “marriage”.
  8. As Senator, he voted against voter ID laws. Democrats apparently do not think our vote is important. That is, we don’t need to keep people from voting twice, three times, four times, five times…. We don’t need to keep dead people from voting. We don’t need to keep people who have moved out-of-state from voting. Everyone is honest. Why regulate it at all?

There is an Issues page on Clinton’s web site. What are all those “issues” about? Almost all of them revolve around spending “other people’s money”? Do you have a pay check? Do you pay more in taxes than the government gives you? If you are not fabulously rich, then it is more of your money that Clinton wants to spend.

Check it out. Wall Street is not going to pay all those taxes => Hedge Fund Money Has Vastly Favored Clinton Over Trump.

If you like what has happened to America — its transformation — under President Barack Husein Obama, then vote for Clinton. She has assured us we will get more of the same.

I could go on, but we are all adults. Right? Well, maybe not. We did nominate these two, but please check out the candidates anyway. Listen to what they have to say unfiltered by a biased news media. Learn the truth for yourself.

One of them is better than the other.

SAFE AT LAST: THE LATEST INNOVATION IN HOME SECURITY

burglarI got the following from a friend in an email.

cannot-buy-rebel-flagSince chain emails (particularly those that are tongue in cheek) cannot be trusted, I did some research.

  • I tried to track down both a rebel flag and an ISIS flag on EBAY. As of now, EBAY seems to exclude both.
  • Not sure what ADT charges, but it cannot beat free.
  • The reference to burkas? Since that obviously refers to profiling….

So would it work? Well, if Hillary Clinton gets elected, I suppose this is what I might have to do after I retire. Got save money on a fixed income, but I will have to run the idea of wearing his and her burkas by my wife.

A FEW OBSERVATIONS ABOUT THE LAST DEBATE

$

0

vote for americaI just finished watching Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have a go at it in their second and last debate.  Trump began the debate obviously nervous and angry. H. Clinton started off smugly composed.

Consider what had just happened. Before the start of this second debate, the news media released that abominable, ten-year old video. Why now? Of course, the release of that video was designed to shake Trump up just before the debate and to maximize the “news value”.

Obviously, Wikileaks had similar notions when it released transcripts Hillary Clinton’s private speeches.

Trump, however, had the much greater problem. The news media doesn’t much care if H. Clinton lies to the voters, however, the fact that Trump engaged in locker room talk ten years ago was major news.  So a bunch of chickens in the GOP establishment deserted Trump, and the moderators just had to get to that question.

Thus, the debate began just about as ugly as it could get, which, of course is what both the news media and H. Clinton apparently wanted. Eventually, however, the town hall format forced the debaters to focus on issues. Trump then cooled and composed himself, and H. Clinton grew strangely more anxious. Now why would that be the case? That is something to think about.

Here is one more thing to think about. Why do we have such an awful choice of presidential candidates? Why all the name calling in the debate? The answer is not complex. Instead of voting for what is good for our country, too many of us have voted for what we think is good for us personally. Instead of voting for the best among us, we have voted for those candidates willing to make the most extravagant promises with “other people’s money”.

Because they involve extravagant promises with “other people’s money”, Hillary Clinton’s promises are simply empty talk. She cannot deliver what she promises; it is not possible. All she can do is redistribute the wealth, and redistributing the wealth eventually kills an economy. That’s why our economy is already stagnant.

Trump has a slightly different appeal. He promises to make America great again. Implicit within that promise is the understanding he will stop trying to redistribute more and more of our wealth. He will let us get back to work so we can make America great again.

In truth, only God can make America great again, but God isn’t likely to help us if we keep trying to use our government to rob each other.
